PNC Releases: What is PNC 4.5 and What New Features does it have?

What is PNC?

Contrary to popular myth PNC is its own flavor of the PhpNuke CMS. It is not based on Platinum or RavenNuke or Evolution or any other flavored fork of PhpNuke. In early days of PNC it was based off of a Platinum core but as of PNC version 4 and above this is no longer true.

PNC 4.5 uses a Chatservs 7.6 patched core with many additional security patches and custom features some of which you will not find in any other flavor of nuke today.

It comes with fully integrated versions of Phpnuke and vWar and Squery and Phpbb2 all patched up to the latest versions available of each and includes additional security and features you will not find in the standalone versions of those systems. There are several pre installed modules and blocks all related to Clan activities providing the most desired functions a Clan will want with their web sites.

What are some of the Pre-installed Modules and Blocks?

Modules (Besides the normal Phpnuke Modules) include:
  • X-fire
  • 4nLan
  • vWar
  • Squery
  • LGSL
  • Maps Manager
  • Teamspeak
  • Ventrillo
  • Hall of Shame.
Blocks Include
  • 8 LGSL Blocks
  • 2 SQuery Blocks
  • 3 Map Blocks
  • 3 4nLanBlocks
  • Squad list Blocks
  • vWar Birthday Block
  • vWar Today Block
  • PNC Flash Nav Block
and many more!

Also hidden in PNC4.5 are some cool new features like the latest bbCode Mod (with a cool new Expand BBcode added by us). User groups integration is 2 way functional now in phpBB and NSN groups. Phpbb groups creation and joining has been removed in favor of NSN further reducing duplicate procedures complications. Phpbbgroup permissions are still handled in phpbb admin though.

There is new search user functionality added to NSN groups. And the Your Account system has been upgraded to ensure full functionality of all items. No longer does one need to Add their signature in a forums profile and then do other functions in the Your Account. You simply add your signature in Your Account and it will be displayed.

There have been too many more enhancements and fixes to mention here but it can all be summed up in the following sentence:

PNC 4.5 is the most Secure and Stable version of PNC to date and is the best CMS for Clans found anywhere!

Why not implement phpBB3 instead of phpBB2?
